The purpose of this course is to provide scaffold erectors and users with the regulations, safety guidelines and procedures needed to recognize and eliminate hazards in the field and determine
the specific rules and steps associated with the erection and dismantling of several types of scaffold.
At the end of this Scaffold Erection safety course, the participant will be provided with the knowledge required safely erect and dismantle scaffold, use and safely work with and around scaffolds at the job site.

- Overview of the common types of scaffolds in the OSHA regulations such as (Frame
Scaffold, System Scaffold, Tube & Coupler Scaffold and Suspended Scaffold) - Covering of the recommended assembly procedures.
General safety requirements that includes the following
- Cross Bars Requirements
- Platforms Configurations
- Handrail and Toe Board System
- Pulley Systems
- Putlog Trass System
- Stairs, Ladders and Gates Requirement
- Fall Protection Requirements
- Mud Sills, Steel Plates and Jack Handles Requirements
- How to plumb, level and square the scaffold
- Wood Planks and Steel Planks Requirements (Fixing, overlapping, etc.)
- Scaffold Ties requirements
- Wind Force
- Tagging System
- Deficiencies of Scaffold Components
- Planning the Scaffold Job
Determine the step by step assembly procedure for the following
- Frame scaffolding including components, applications, and erection procedures.
- Tube and Coupler Scaffold applications, components, and erection techniques.
- System Scaffold applications, components, and erection techniques.
- Suspended Scaffold components and erection techniques.
Determine the scaffold Drawings
Practical hands-on erection and dismantling of several types of basic frame, tube & coupler,
and “system” scaffolds.
The course duration is 4 Days (Including 2 days Practical) for erecting and dismantling all types of scaffold that covered the theoretical part.
