Description

The course is designed to provide the higher level of knowledge regarding the legislation and the planning and assessment of working at height.

By the end of this course the participant will be able to:

  • Identify Hazards, risk of Working at heights and fall control to Working at heights.
  • Use of fall protection plan
  • Understand the international Standards applicable to Working at heights, roles and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate competency in donning, checking and correcting of individual fall protection equipment.
  • Giving a simple, clear and accurate verbal or written explanation of a key topic (e.g.
    providing a simple description of PPE used to enable safe working at height.)
  • Demonstrating a relevant safety technique or method (e.g. the correct selection, fitting and
    use of PPE to enable safe working at height.)
  • Identify Hazards for Working at heights and fall control to Working at heights.
  • Use of fall protection plan
  • Understand the legal requirements and international Standards applicable to Working at
    heights, roles and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate competency in donning, checking and correcting of individual fall protection
    equipment.
  • Describe the precautions to be taken when using associated equipment.
  • Restraint, positioning and fall arrest methods and techniques in lifelines.

This course is suited for the workforces that are involved in or executing working at heights activities/ jobs, or planning / supervising working at heights jobs.

Three days covers theoretical and Practical.

Prior Training and experience required

  • Physical & Medical fitness to ensure that it is safe to participate in practical training.
  • Safety Induction training course.
  • Classroom lectures

  • Core Certificate for each attendee
  • IADC Certificates for each attendee (if requested)*
