Search and Rescue Technique for Firefighters

By the end of the course all trainees should be able to:

• To respond effectively as a key member of the firefighting team and manage fire prevention
• To coordinate tactical fire fighting
• To use and maintain firefighting and fire detection equipment carried on the plant

• Organization of fire parties
• Organization training in firefighting activities
• Management of tactical firefighting activities for various types and spaces
• Management of fires involving hazardous area and materials
• Coordination and liaison
• Supervision of inspection and maintenance of fire detection and suppression equipment
• Developing and implementing training exercises that are appropriate for the plant
• Managing the evacuation of personnel from fire and smoke affected compartments

This course is suited for Persons who have responsibilities in the prevention and control of fire and explosion the workplaces Relevant persons include: line management supervisors, safety supervisors safety and health officers and engineers, process engineers, maintenance engineers and technicians
