Description

This course provides a high level discussion of surface processing facilities used in the oil and gas production with emphasis on the selection and specification of these facilities as part of a field development plan. The importance of knowledge about reservoir type, produced fluid composition and properties, drive mechanism, facility location, product specifications and contractual obligations is highlighted. The course intended to cover the Gas Conditioning and Processing facilities which are needed to produce on specifications products & satisfy the oil & gas market.

On completion of this course the participant will be able to:

  • Understand the specification of production/processing facilities is influenced by reservoir type, drive mechanism, fluid properties, location and contractual obligations
  • Identify the Operating conditions that affect the specification of the production facilities from the wellhead through initial separation
  • Learn the best practices for operating the production facilities such as separators, De-salters, Dehydration & natural gas liquid recovery units
  • The design and specification of gas handling facilities, including compression and conditioning, for both solution and non-associated gas
  • The principles of asset integrity and inherently safe design given the rate, composition, temperature and pressure of the production stream.
  • Demonstrate the midstream facilities required downstream of the primary production facility to deliver saleable products to the market, and how these facilities are affected by production rates, composition and production facility performance
  • This unique training course on Surface Facility Production Operations covers discussion of oil & gas production facilities best in class operation. It will have above all a practical focus on how to operate & prepare the facilities for maintenance as well as responding in case of Emergency.
  • The focus of this course is on the actions required to safely operate & well maintain all Oil & gas equipment to achieve & maximize the facilities throughput.
