This course covers aspects of running a drill bit from arriving at the rig site through to recommending drilling parameters, run recording and reporting. The procedure can be used as part of the drilling optimization process to ensure a quality service is provided to our customers.

By the end of the course, the participants are able to:

  • Identify types of drill bits, inspection and use of each.

  • Bit Selection.
  • Roller Cone Bits.
  • Fixed Cutter Bits.
  • Bit Handling & Make-up Procedure.
  • Bit Running Procedures

This course is suited for any non-technical employee working or interested in the Oil and Gas Industry.  This includes accountants, managers, attorneys, administrative support, human resources personnel, landmen, computer programmers, draftsmen, engineers and geophysicists without geological training.
