Onshore Crane Operator

Course Purposes

When we develop your people you can be assured of their competence to carry out the safety critical role of offshore crane operator to Sparrows exacting and industry-leading standard. We define competency as an individual having the ability to consistently, independently and safely perform a task that can be measured against a standard.

Course Objectives:

After completing the course, delegate will be able to:

  •   Recognize the hazards associated with industrial plants generally,
  •   Recognize the hazards inherent to the gas plants,
  •   Learn how to evaluate different types of risk,
  •   Develop the skills of applying risk assessment techniques,
  •  Develop a strategy for planning and implementing risk reduction action plans,
  •   Develop a strategy to reduce risks to a level that is as low as reasonably practicable ‘ALARP’
